Shepherd’s Purse

Shepherd’s Purse is a café and restaurant located in Koenji and we got to know it purely by chance.
We hadn’t known about it when we set out to discover the area and only really stumbled across it after getting lost in the city’s streets.
We were totally blown away by the decoration and decided to go in.
The manager was lovely and she took the time to go through the daily menu, which was much appreciated as it was all in Japanese and we were the only tourists there.
You can find rice croquettes (recommended), salads, soups, pastas and risottos on the menu.

Shepherd’s Purse es un café y restaurante situado en Koenji que descubrimos por casualidad.
No lo teníamos apuntado en nuestro mapa, pero cuando estuvimos explorando la zona y perdiéndonos por sus calles, descubrimos este sitio en una esquina y entramos sin dudarlo por su decoración.
Éramos los únicos turistas allí pero la encargada fue muy amable explicándonos el menú del día, ya que estaba todo en japonés.
Entre sus platos puedes encontrar croquetas de arroz (muy recomendables), ensaladas, sopas, pastas y risottos.
